Job Title: Quality Control & Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Lagos Island, Nigeria

Description

  • Follow-up with QA/QC vendor on chemical deliveries and ensure quality is met
  • Visit Vendor facility to receive new chemical deliveries
  • Creation of material numbers for all production chemicals / materials
  • Follow-up Production Chemical transfer from vendor facility to site
  • Have strong competence in SAP tool
  • Manage production chemical stock in SAP and ensure no stock out
  • Manage reagent stocks in SAP and ensure no stock out
  • Ensure lab equipment availability and spares
  • Follow-up with maintenance of lab equipment and calibrations
  • Follow-up with bi-annual Lab equipment Maintenance & Calibrations
  • Follow-up with Lab fiscal equipment and calibrations
  • Follow-up with tote maintenance and ensure availability of totes
  • Follow-up and make available chemical cargo carrying unit for bi-annual inspection campaigns
  • Manages a data base where all information regarding chemicals, tote frames and tank are stored for record purpose.
  • Receives crude oil sample from site and distribute to different vendors for analysis
  • Request for materials transfer within plants
  • Receives and Manages the day-to-day chemical request from site.

Job Title: Laboratory & Treatment Leader

Location: Lagos Island, Nigeria

Description

  • Responsible for the Laboratory sampling supervisor in Frequent sampling of produced water and crude oil samples from different vessels
  • Responsible for the Laboratory sampling & Analysis of produced water and crude oil samples according to standard operating procedures o Parameters to
  • Responsible for the sampling and analysis of deposit samples recovered from different vessels during cleaning operations o Parameters to be analyzed:
    • Acid solubility of deposits
    • Deposit characterization
    • Deposit identification
  • Responsible for the Preparation of results of all analysis performed in the Laboratory
  • Responsible for the Follow-up of chemical injection efficiency monitoring parameters
  • Responsible for the follow-up of offshore chemical stock
  • Ensure Chemical injection KPI’s are within specification
  • Ensure the quality of chemicals delivered to the FPSO are okay for use
  • Provide technical assistance to process, maintenance, production and marine teams
  • Responsible for the quality of sampling, no matter the fluid
  • Follow-up with field trials and integrate trial results into operations to optimize production

  • Contribute to laboratory and treatment related SMR’s and participate in daily, weekly or monthly meetings
  • Update the MSDS of chemicals in use on board (Laboratory and injection chemicals)

  • Always establish working consumption pattern for all laboratory/Treatment chemicals and consumables and report all impending shortages to the Head of Lab/Treatment.
  • Follow up other field departments on issues related to laboratory analyses as directed by the Head of Lab/Treatment and close out analysis request of same where applicable.
  • Ensure that all laboratory equipment is always operationally available, maintaining same and arranging for repairs or, replacement is necessary.
  • Always ensure availability of all laboratory chemicals and consumables and make requisitions when necessary to avoid stock outs.

  • Work with other departments on issues related to laboratory analyses and closeout analysis request of same where applicable.

Qualifications
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of B.Sc. in any discipline from a reputable higher institution
  • Member of CIPM and other relevant professional bodies
  • Requires a minimum of 6 years’ experience in administrative support role and core HR.
